A few months ago we were asked by Stockmann, one of Helsinki’s biggest and oldest department stores, to shoot images of their new grocery department. The entire store went through massive changes as part of the Kasvu project, planned by Laatio Architects. Over a span of 5 years the different departments went through renovations and roughly 10 000m2 were added to the existing 40 000m2 of space. The Delicatessen or “Herkku” as it is called in finnish is definitely one of the main attractions and is on par with the finest department stores in europe.
