A while ago we shot some images for our friends at 4Krs Films for their upcoming documentary featuring the UFO Investigator Björn Borg. We headed out to Järvenpää to visit Joken Osto- ja Myynti who had acquired a mysterious UFO sculpture that was going to be part of the final scenes of the documentary. We were asked to shoot some behind the scenes images and produce pictures for promotional use.
We decided to place Mr Borg inside the UFO for the main image. To get the right feeling the image was shot one and a half stop under the ambient exposure with a 24mm TS-E. Two flashes were placed inside the sculpture to highlight Mr Borg and illuminate the interior. In post we dropped the saturation, did some local curve adjustments and finished with a heavy vignette to make the center pop. I think it made for a really interesting image that tells a great story. Thanks Osku and Arthur for a fun shoot, I can’t wait to see the finished film!
