Last thursday we visited Mr. Eero Aarnio in his home in Veikkola, to take a few images for the Modern Historic 1900 -project. Eero Aarnio is a Finnish interior designer born in 1932 probably most well known for his Ball Chair designed in 1963. Now, well into his 70′s he is continuously designing new products.

We had a great time drinking coffee, eating blueberry pie and talking with Mr. Aarnio about his work and his upcoming projects. He is a very cheerful and warm person, and I think it shows in his work. His house is filled with Puppies and Dinos, two colorful, abstract and joyful plastic products designed for children. What a great artist!

I have been looking into some new post processing techniques to give our images a more high-contrast and crisp look. As a test I chose to work on a image of Sitra Tower from the archive. Built in 2000 Sitra tower – at 72 meters – is one of the tallest buildings in Helsinki.

Have a nice weekend everyone!
