A few weeks ago while shooting this image, we came up with the idea of creating an extreme panorama of the view overlooking Salmisaari, Ruoholahti and Jätkäsaari. We shot 9 horizontal images with the 90mm TS-E and stitched the whole thing together to create a massive 32000 px panorama, which would create an almost 3m wide photo quality print at 300dpi. We uploaded a 10000 px jpg for you to get an idea of the depth and quality. Just click on the link below and enjoy:)

Here’s two images of prison cells. One is from the quite recently renovated Helsingin Oikeustalo. The other is from Best Western Katajanokka (former prison turned into a hotel) where on of the old prison cells has been kept in original shape. For more images of both buildings click shop.kuvio.com. I really don’t know which one I would prefer, but have a good weekend and stay out of jail

The latest issue (11/2011) of Taide & Design has a 10 page feature of Pyhän Laurin Kappeli. The layout is very nice, it’s written by Tarja Nurmi and includes a set of our exterior images! Download the full article here (pdf-file in Finnish): TD11_Pyhä_LauriV2_low
Last night we shot a few more images of the chapel for Avanto Architects aiming to capture the warm and glowing interior in contrast with the cold blue sky. Fun but freezing…

Yesterday afternoon we continued shooting Crusellin silta in Ruoholahti. This image is taken from the opposite shore (Lauttasaari) at a distance of roughly 600-700m. Using the miniature faking technique – full tilt with a 90mm TS-E lens @ f5.6 – we thought we’d make the bridge pop out from the background. Have a nice weekend everyone!

We were shooting exterior images for a client a sunny October day and noticed a window washer working on a building nearby. Couldn’t resist the temptation and this is what came out of it. Enjoy, everyone and have a nice weekend!
