Built in 1967 Helsingin Jäähalli is the oldest hockey stadium in Helsinki. I have always been fascinated by arenas/stadiums – they are visually compelling and make for an interesting social setting. Before Christmas I received a call form one of my clients – Inlook. They wanted some reference images from Pasilan Visio 2 (a modern office building). On location I noticed the staircase, the huge ventilation pipes and thought I’d stay a bit later and shoot some images for fun. I have added a gallery on my Photoshelter site – Pasilan Visio 2 – with interior images. Since the images are not property released, the gallery is password protected. If you are interested in licensing the images, please contact me and I’ll give you the password.

I read an interesting story on light pollution in National Geographic last spring. I came to think about it a couple of weeks ago when I was out experimenting with some new equipment. Thought I’d catch the orange haze above Helsinki and share it with you.
